From Archbishop Borys Gudziak
Archeparchy of Philadelphia - Філадельфійська Архиєпархія УГКЦ.
Even though I’ve returned from Ukraine, my work has only just begun.
Yesterday, I traveled with my son to Philadelphia and was welcomed by Metropolitan-Archbishop Borys Gudziak of the Ukrainian Catholic Church. I won’t list titles or achievements - his genuine kindness and humility make that feel unnecessary - but a quick search will show just how significant his leadership is in the face of the war devastating his homeland.
What I can say is this: thank you.
Archbishop Borys was generous with his time during an incredibly demanding season. He welcomed my son and me with the same warmth I experienced across Ukraine, offering hospitality, conversation, and a spirit that made us feel like family.
I’m deeply grateful.
And for those who keep asking, “What can I do to help?” - Well, I brought that question straight to the top for you. In this short clip from a wonderful interview, Archbishop Borys offers guidance on what matters most right now and how you can join the effort to support the people of Ukraine.
