The Men I Encountered
Priests throughout Ukraine are cut from a different cloth.
The priests I have met in three days, are men I simply could not hold a flame to in terms of courage and faith in God. These are men. They are not soft-bellied loud mouths in pretty pomp and frill. They are husbands, dads, war fighters, but more than anything, servants of God.
And yes, these are Catholic priests.
If you are not a believer, that’s cool. We all have our reasons, I know I sure do. But if you’re looking to understand ‘why’ someone would have such immense Faith in this mad, mad world, come to Ukraine. One of them said to me, ‘war cures imposters.’
